On behalf of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow, I would like to welcome you to our website. This site is the official online presence for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow which is the body that oversees Freemasonry within Glasgow.

There are 77 Masonic Lodges in Glasgow and as such, the city is a busy place with Masonic Meetings being held on most nights. This website provides information regarding these meetings by means of the calendar function and I would encourage Brethren to use it to assist in planning visits to other Lodges.

This site also provides information about my Commissioned Office Bearers, a brief history of the Provincial Grand Lodge and will be updated regularly with details of the activities of the Provincial Grand Lodge as we support the Lodges in the Province and go about our duties. It will also provide information about the charitable work carried out by Freemasons in Glasgow.

I hope you enjoy browsing through the site and should you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with our IT and Social Media Team.

If you are not a Freemason but have an interest in joining a lodge within the Province of Glasgow please visit our Joining Freemasonry page, submit an enquiry and one of our team will contact you to discuss matters with you on an informal basis and without obligation.

James C. Peddie
Provincial Grand Master

If you are interested in joining a Masonic Lodge in the Province of Glasgow and know someone from that Lodge, you should speak to him regarding an application for Initiation.

If you do not know anyone who is a member of our Order then the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow has several Brethren who are happy to discuss membership applications from suitable men. They will answer any questions you may have and if you wish to apply they can identify Lodges that will suit your circumstances and have Brethren from them get in touch with you.

Membership of the Craft in Scotland is open to respectable men who believe in their personal Supreme Being. Applicants should have attained the age of 21 years (with an exception in favour of the son of a Master Mason who can be admitted on attaining the age of 18 years).

Further information can be found on the Grand Lodge of Scotland's Website

Please fill in the form below if you wish to speak with us regarding potential membership. We will get in touch to discuss this with you with no further obligation.
