Provincial Grand Master Brother Andrew Mushet

Brother Andrew Mushet is a Past Master of Lodge Galen No.1285.
This is Brother Mushet’s third commission, having been previously commissioned as a Substitute Provincial Grand Master by Brother Alistair Henderson during his tenure as Provincial Grand Master and as Depute Provincial Grand Master by Brother James C. Peddie.
He is currently Grand Architect at the Grand Lodge of Scotland and is a member of Grand Committee serving presently on the Information and Communications Committee.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother Mushet is the Managing Director of a successful printing company, and lists his hobbies as reading, bookbinding and hillwalking.

 

Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master Brother James Campbell Peddie

Brother James Campbell Peddie is a Past Master of Lodge St. George, Glasgow, No. 333. and has been Master of that Lodge on 3 occasions. Brother Peddie was previously commissioned as a Substitute Provincial Grand Master by Brother George A.L. McEwan, Brother Robert R. Best and Brother Alistair Henderson during their respective terms as Provincial Grand Master.
He was elected as Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Glasgow in 2014 and commissioned and installed by the Grand Master Mason Brother Charles Ian Robert Woolridge Gordon of Esselmont. His commission ended on 30 October 2019.
Brother Peddie was honoured to be awarded the rank of Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, having been nominated by the then Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert R.Best.
He is also an Honorary Member of several Lodges under the English Constitution and numerous Lodges within the Province.
Brother Peddie had a long career in the motor trade, both as an engineer and senior manager, and has now retired.
He lists his interests as playing golf and grand parenting.

 

Depute Provincial Grand Master Brother Alan Cuthill

Brother Alan Cuthill is a Past Master of Partick St. Mary’s Lodge, No.117.
This is Brother Cuthill’s second commission having previously been commissioned as a Substitute Provincial Grand Master by Brother James C. Peddie during his tenure as Provincial Grand Master.
He is Chairman of the Provincial Grand Lodge Education and Library Committee.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother Cuthill was a career civil servant, who lists his hobbies as reading.

 

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother James McMillan

Brother James McMillan is a Past Master of Lodge Langside, No. 955.
This is Brother McMillan’s fourth commission, having been previously commissioned by Brother William Gilmour, Brother Alistair Henderson and Brother James C. Peddie during their tenure as Provincial Grand Master.
He is currently a member of the Board of Grand Lodge Stewards.
Brother McMillan is an Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, having been recommended to the Grand Master Mason by Brother Alistair Henderson during his commission as Provincial Grand Master. He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother McMillan is a retired manufacturing jeweller, who lists his hobbies as gardening and reading.

 

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother William Newlands

Brother William Newlands is a Master Mason of Lodge Springburn, No.1198 and a Past Master of Lodge Bishopbriggs, No.1259. 
He has served Lodge Bishopbriggs as Master on 2 occasions.
This is Brother Newlands' second commission having previously been commissioned by Brother James C. Peddie during his tenure as Provincial Grand Master.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother Newlands is a motor engineer to trade but has moved to the aerospace industry as an engineer. 
He is currently a Health and Safety Advisor within that industry, and lists his hobbies as DIY and reading.

 

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Gordon McDonald Heggie

Brother Gordon McD. Heggie is a Past Master of Lodge Tollcross, No.1194.
This is Brother Heggie’s second commission having previously been commissioned by Brother James C. Peddie during his tenure as Provincial Grand Master.
Brother Heggie was honoured to be the 101st Honorary member of Lodge Tarbolton (Kilwinning) St. James, No.135.
He is active in other orders of Freemasonry.
Brother Heggie has had a long career in the motor trade and is currently a manager in a large franchise.
He lists his interests as golf and reading.

 

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Michael Macdonald

Brother Michael Macdonald Joined Lodge Anima 1223 on the 22nd January 1985 and has served as Master on 2 occasions.
This is Brother Macdonald`s first commission.
Brother Macdonald is an Honorary Grand Assistant Treasurer, having been recommended to the Grand Master Mason by Brother James Campbell Peddie during his commission as Provincial Grand Master.
Brother Macdonald is a retired Organ Builder, who lists his hobbies as Swimming and Bowling.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Richard Anderson

Brother Richard Anderson is a Past Master of Lodge Kenmuir Springburn No.570 and is currently a member of the board of Grand Stewards.
This is his first commission. Brother Anderson has previously filled many offices in Provincial Grand Lodge as an elected Office Bearer. He is also an active member of many other Masonic orders and continues to work hard for his Mother Lodge, regularly taking part in Degree work.
He is a self employed joiner to trade and his hobbies are socialising, travelling (especially cruising) and keeping fit.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert Shaw

Brother Robert Shaw is a Past Master of The Bridgeton & Glasgow, Shamrock & Thistle Lodge No 275, where he has served as Master on two occasions. He is also a Past Master of The Prince’s Lodge No 607. He is an honorary member of The United Lodge of Dunkeld No 14. 
This is Brother Shaw’s first commission.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry. Brother Shaw is a retired Senior Police Officer.
He is a member of a number of craft organisations within the Trades House of Glasgow and is Vice President of the Bridgeton Burns Club as well as being a Past President of the Thistle Burns Club. His hobbies are after dinner speaking and sport.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Duncan McFadyen

Brother McFadyen is a native of Glasgow having grown up on the South Side. He was initiated into Freemasonry in January 1981 and was first installed as Master of Lodge Progress in December 1987. He was Master for two years. He then served for six years as a PGL Steward and then as Vice President of Stewards. In December 1998 he was installed as Master of Glasgow Kilwinning Lodge No. 4 and served as Master on three separate occasions including the 275th celebrations. He has also served in office in other Masonic Orders. This is his first commission.
Brother McFadyen retired from public service after 32 years working in Glasgow and London and now works in private commerce as the operations manager of an independent manufacturing and wholesale clothing company. His primary interests are Travel, Scottish History, Hill Walking and Sport.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Colin Grant

Brother Colin Grant is a Past Master of Lodge Montefiore No. 753, a position he has held three times.
He recently affiliated to Lodge Sir Robert Moray 1641. This is his first commission.
Brother Grant worked as a journalist for over 30 years, mostly in senior roles with two national papers. He now runs his own media consultancy.
His hobbies are playing Bridge, reading and writing.

Provincial Grand Secretary Brother David F. Quinn

Brother Quinn is a Past Master of Lodge Blythswood No. 817 and occupied the Chair in that Lodge in 2003. He is also a Past Master of Lodge Galen, No. 1285 and has been Master of that Lodge on two occasions, 2016 and 2017. He has served in numerous offices including several times as a Lodge Secretary. Brother Quinn has served on the Provincial Grand Lodge Byelaws, Complaints and Appeals Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and until recently was the Chairman of the Online Communications Team. He is an Honorary Member of Lodge Athole, No. 413. This is his first commission. 

Provincial Grand Chaplain Brother Reverend Robert Craig

Brother Reverend Robert Craig is a Master Mason of The De Carteret Lodge No.3459 under the English Constitution.  He is a Past Master of Lodge The Kings Park No.1386 in the Province of Renfrewshire East where he was commissioned twice and is a Past Provincial Grand Chaplain.  He is a Master Mason of Lodge Dramatic No 571.  He is also Past Senior Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Scotland and served on Grand Committee and the Benevolence and Care Committee between 2014 and 2017.  He is Proxy Master of Lodge King Hiram No.1351 in the District Grand Lodge of Lebanon. He is active in many other masonic orders.  A former Bomb Disposal Engineer with the Corps of Royal Engineers he is now a Church of Scotland minister at Hillington Park Parish in the Presbytery of Glasgow.  He is a Graduate of the Open University with a BA (hons) in Social Sciences and a Diploma in Religious Studies, the University of Glasgow with a BD(hons) in Ministry and a PGCert in Healthcare Chaplaincy and a Certificate in Counselling Skills from Napier University.  His hobbies include reading, history, DIY and masonic research.
