Provincial Grand Master Brother James Campbell Peddie

Brother James Campbell Peddie is a Past Master of Lodge St. George, Glasgow, No. 333. and has been Master of that Lodge on 3 occasions. This is Brother Peddie’s fourth commission, having been previously commissioned as a Substitute Provincial Grand Master by Brother George A.L. McEwan, Brother Robert R. Best and Brother Alistair Henderson during their respective terms as Provincial Grand Master.

He was elected as Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Glasgow in 2014 and commissioned and installed by the Grand Master Mason Brother Charles Ian Robert Woolridge Gordon of Esselmont.

Brother Peddie was honoured to be awarded the rank of Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, having been nominated by the then Provincial Grand Master Brother Robert R.Best.
He is also an Honorary Member of several Lodges under the English Constitution and numerous Lodges within the Province.

Brother Peddie had a long career in the motor trade, both as an engineer and senior manager, and has now retired.

He lists his interests as playing golf and grand parenting.

Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master Brother Alistair Henderson
 

Brother Henderson was Initiated into Lodge St. John, Whiteinch, No. 683 in September 1967, was Master of the Lodge in 1980-1981 and again in 1982-1983, the centenary of the Lodge. His paternal Grandfather joined the Lodge in 1912 and three members of the family have served as Master of the Lodge. He is an affiliate member of Lodge "The Princes" No. 607.

Brother Henderson was first commissioned as Provincial Grand Secretary in November 1982 by Brother William Fleming, Provincial Grand Master, and subsequently by his successors, Brothers William C. Shepardson, Henry Jeffrey, George A.L. McEwan and Robert R. Best. In 2004 Brother William Gilmour appointed Brother Henderson as Depute Provincial Grand Master and after serving in that offfice for five years, he was appointed Provincial Grand Master at the end of October 2009.

He served as a member of the Information and Communications Committee and thereafter the Benevolence and Care Committee in Grand Lodge. He is currently an elected member of Grand Committee.

Offices held in Grand Lodge - Senior Grand Standard Bearer (2014-2015), Grand Marshal (2015-2016), and Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies (2016-2017).

Representative of Grand Lodge of Andorra at the Grand Lodge of Scotland.

Chairman of Fundraising Committee of Provincial Grand Lodge (2009-2014)

Alistair is a graduate of the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Modern and Medieval History (BA. Hons) and is a retired Principal Teacher of History.  He is very interested in Masonic research.

Depute Provincial Grand Master Brother Andrew Mushet
 

Brother Andrew Mushet is a Past Master of Lodge Galen No.1285.
This is Brother Mushet’s second commission, having been previously commissioned by Brother Alistair Henderson during his tenure as Provincial Grand Master.
He is currently Grand Architect at the Grand Lodge of Scotland. 
A member of Grand Committee serving presently on the Information and Communications Committee.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother Mushet is the Managing Director of a successful printing company, and lists his hobbies as reading, bookbinding and hillwalking.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother James McMillan

Brother James McMillan is a Past Master of Lodge Langside, No. 955.

This is Brother McMillan’s third commission, having been previously commissioned by Brother William Gilmour and Brother Alistair Henderson during  their tenure as Provincial Grand Master.

He is currently a member of the Board of Grand Lodge Stewards.
Brother McMillan is an Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, having been recommended to The Grand Master Mason by Brother Alistair Henderson during his commission as Provincial Grand Master.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother McMillan is a retired manufacturing jeweller, who lists his hobbies as gardening and reading.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Duncan Mackintosh

Brother Duncan MacKintosh is a Master Mason of Lodge St. Brydes, No. 579.
He is a Past Master of Lodge Cadder Freestone, No.1584.
This is Brother MacKintosh’s second commission, having been previously commissioned by Brother Alistair Henderson.
He is active in other orders of Freemasonry and also in his local church.
Brother MacKintosh is a retired Senior Fire Officer, who lists his interests as bowls, gardening, walking and theatre.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Gavin G. Stewart OBE
 

Brother Gavin G. Stewart OBE joined Lodge Anima 1223 on the 21st January 1973. He progressed through the offices and was installed as the Master of the Lodge, for the first time, in December 1978. 
After his year as Immediate Past Master (1979-80) he became the Lodge Treasurer, from 1981 to 2003. 
He was again Master of the Lodge, for a second time, in 2004-2005. 
On the 31st November 1994 he was commissioned as a Substitute Provincial Grand Master in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow (from 1994-1999). He was re-commissioned as a Substitute Provincial Grand Master by Brother James Campbell Peddie in November 2014.
He was awarded Honorary Grand Rank of Assistant Grand Treasurer on 25th November 1999. 
Brother Stewart has received Honorary Membership from the following Lodges: Lodge Athole, Glasgow, No.413, Lodge Blythswood, No.817, Lodge The Kings Park, No.1386, Lodge Alexandra, No.1282 and Lodge Toryglen, No.1561. 
Brother Stewart continues to work hard for his Mother Lodge and regularly takes part in its degree work. 
He was a career Senior Civil Servant and on retirement, was awarded an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List of 2011.

Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother William Newlands

Brother William Newlands is a Master Mason of Lodge Springburn, No.1198 and a Past Master of Lodge Bishopbriggs, No.1259. 
He has served Lodge Bishopbriggs as Master on 2 occasions.
This is Brother Newlands' first commission.
He is also active in many other orders in Freemasonry.
Brother Newlands is a motor engineer to trade but has moved to the aerospace industry as an engineer. 
He is currently a Health and Safety Advisor within that industry, and lists his hobbies as DIY and reading.

Brother Gordon McD. Heggie is a Past Master of Lodge Tollcross, No.1194.
This is Brother Heggie’s first commission.
Brother Heggie was honoured to be the 101st Honorary member of Lodge Tarbolton (Kilwinning) St. James, No.135.
He is active in other orders of Freemasonry.
Brother Heggie has had a long career in the motor trade and is currently a manager in a large franchise.
He lists his interests as golf and reading.

Brother Alan Cuthill is a Past Master of Partick St. Mary’s Lodge, No.117.
This is Brother Cuthill’s first commission.
He is Chairman of the Provincial Grand Lodge Education and Library Committee.

Brother Cuthill was a career civil servant, who lists his hobbies as reading.

Brother Allan Jenkins is a Past Master of Lodge Concord, No.1341 and has been the Lodge Treasurer for many years.
This is Brother Jenkins' first commission.  
Brother Jenkins is an Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, having been recommended to The Grand Master Mason by Brother Alistair Henderson during his commission as Provincial Grand Master.
Brother Jenkins is also a Past Senior Provincial Grand Warden.
