On the weekend of the 23^rd, 24^th and 25^th April 2021. Brethren of the Province of Glasgow took part in the Kilt Walk in aid of Glasgow’s Golden Generation. The brethren and some other members of their families have either walked or took to their bike.

To kick everything off on Friday 23^rd The Provincial Grand Master Brother Andrew Mushet walked with his Grand Children around Kilmardinny Park.

On Saturday 24^th The Provincial Grand Secretary Brother David Quinn and his good lady Nicola set off early and cycled 55 miles from Bearsden to the Kelpies and back.

On Sunday 25^th April, Substitute Provincial Grand Master Brother Richard Anderson led from the start of the day cycling from Bishopbriggs to the Kelpies and back.

The monies from all brethren was in aid of The Provincial Grand Master’s nominated charity for this year The Glasgow Golden Generation.

Established in 1948 The GGG supply an excellent service to the elderly across the whole of the City ranging from support at their 3 day care centres, various clubs, community support, volunteering, befriending and welfare services.

The Day care centres are the Fred Paton Centre, Mattie Carwood Centre and The David Cargill Centre the latter also being their Head office.

Lesley Giudici Fundraising Manager " I have to say everyone at the GGG has been totally overwhelmed  by the phenomenal amount you have raised from the Virtual Kiltwalk we would never have imagined it would have raised as much as it has. Overall, we were just short of £18,500 in total from all our Kiltwalkers which should mean a total for us of nearly £27,500 which really is amazing. We are so grateful to you all."
