On Tuesday 12 October 2021, the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Andrew Mushet, hosted a function within the Provincial Office at 54 Berkeley Street, Glasgow.
The purpose of this reception was to congratulate Brother William C. Shepherdson, Past Provincial Grand Master, on the 70th Anniversary of his initiation into Freemasonry. The Provincial Grand Master was joined by the Commissioned Officer Bearers of the Province and Past Provincial Grand Masters Brother James C. Peddie and Brother Alistair Henderson. Also present was the Master of Lodge Commercial, No. 360, Brother Robert Lamont and some of his Brethren.
The Provincial Grand Master congratulated Brother Shepherdson on his outstanding service to the Craft and the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow. He then presented him with some gifts to mark the occasion and read out a letter of congratulations from the Grand Master Mason, Brother W. Ramsay McGhee.
The assembled Brethren enjoyed some refreshments before Brother Shepherdson regaled them with an account of his time as a Freemason. He spoke of the many spectacular occasions he has attended and combined historical facts with humorous anecdotes, especially from his time as Provincial Grand Master.
