On Wednesday 22 December 2021, the Provincial Grand Master, Brother Andrew Mushet, accompanied by Provincial Grand Secretary, Brother David F. Quinn attended at the Provincial Office in Berkeley Street, Glasgow.
They were there to make a presentation to Mrs Patricia Campbell, the Office Secretary on her last working day as she is retiring.
Mrs Campbell started working in Berkeley Street in 1985 and has, over the years, been of great assistance to countless Lodge Secretaries, several Provincial Grand Secretaries and eight Provincial Grand Masters! Her efforts have greatly contributed to the efficient administration of Freemasonry in the biggest Province of the Scottish Constitution and the office will be a very different place without her.
Brother Mushet presented gifts on behalf of all the Lodges in Glasgow. A retirement function had been planned for 17 December 2021 but unfortunately had to be postponed due to Coronavirus. It will be held as soon as possible and this will afford many more people the opportunity to give Patricia the send off she deserves.
Mrs Campbell has asked that her sincere thanks are passed onto all the Lodges and individuals who have contacted her with best wishes and for the very generous retirement presents she has received. She is looking forward to a change in pace and spending more time with her family, including her grandsons.
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow wish Mrs Campbell a long, happy and healthy retirement and thank her for her dedicated service over many years to Freemasonry in Glasgow.
