On Saturday 5 March 2022, the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow held a Charity Burns Supper within the Marriot Hotel, Glasgow.

On that evening, Assistant Grand Secretary, Brother Duncan McFadyen, was in attendance as a guest of the Province. The Provincial Grand Master, Brother Andrew Mushet, welcomed Brother McFadyen before presenting him with a cheque for £7,700 on behalf of the Provincial Grand Lodge.

This donation was made to support the Grand Lodge of Scotland's "Make it a Million" appeal in aid of Prostate Scotland. It was made by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Glasgow on behalf of every Lodge in the Province.

This appeal has been launched to try and raise the total donations from Scottish Freemasons to the Prostate Scotland Charity to £1,000,000 - it is currently sitting at over £800,000.

Mrs Dawn Oliff, the Homes and Charities Manager of the Grand Lodge of Scotland said "On behalf of the Chairman and Members of the Benevolence and Care Committee, I am writing to extend sincere thanks to your Provincial Grand Master and Brethren within the Province for the very generous donation, in the sum of £7,700, to the ‘Make it a Million’ initiative in aid of Prostate Scotland.

This donation has boosted the total sum which has been raised so far considerably and will greatly assist the Charity to continue with its vital work to raise awareness of prostate disease, its symptoms and the treatments which are available."
