On Friday 25th January 2019, the Provincial Grand Master, Brother James C. Peddie, attended at the Physically DIsabled Rehabilitation Unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, to present a donation from the 2018 Provincial Grand Lodge Sponsored Walk.
The PDRU is a specialist unit that aims to offer support to those in need of intensive multi-disciplinary rehabilitation. The PDRU also aims to promote independence, well being and improve the quality of life of patients with physical and communication or cognitive difficulties, typically resulting from a neurological condition or injury.
The Provincial Grand Master was delighted to present a cheque for £2500 to the Head Physiotherapist at the unit, Karen Scott. He was accompanied by Brother John Monteith, a Past Master of Lodge Toryglen, No. 1561 who is actively involved in fundraising for the PDRU.
On behalf of the Province we would like to thank all who took part in the Sponsored Walk, their families and friends as well as all who donated towards this worthy cause.
