On Saturday 10 November the Masters of the Western District Lodges Association attended a Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial within Victoria Park, Glasgow.

This service was led by the Immediate Past Provincial Grand Master, Brother Alistair Henderson, and the Provincial Grand Master, Brother James C. Peddie, was in attendance.

The Western District Lodges Association was founded in 1956 and Lodge Thistle & Rose No. 73, Partick St Mary's Lodge No. 117, Lodge St. John Whiteinch No. 683, Lodge Kelvin Partick No. 1207, Lodge Western No. 1346, Lodge Knightswood No. 1445 and Lodge Tower No. 1523 are it's members.

WDLA Service


Each of the Lodges laid a wreath in memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and over 100 people were in attendance. Brother Gordon Wishart from Lodge The Gael No. 609 performed piping duties and Brother Robert G.C. Sawyers PM from Lodge Maryhill No. 510 gave a perfect rendition of the Last Post on the Bugle.  The event was organised by Brother Ted McLoughlin, PM of Lodge Kelvin Partick No. 1207.
